I created Twelve Oaks Consulting to help people use technology in new and creative ways. I love being able to show people how they can bring technology into harmony with their dreams–instead of being scared, frustrated or overwhelmed by it.
About me
My name is Sean. I grew up on the Kitsap Peninsula and I’ve spent most of my life working for myself running a web design company. I reached a point recently where I decided I wanted to get off of the computer more and get out in the world. The responsibilities and demands of my company had cut me off from so many experiences and left me feeling drained. With so much time spent on the computer each day, my health was deteriorating and my involvement with others was limited.
Now I’m excited to get out of the office and start connecting with others; sharing what I’ve learned over my years of working with computers, video and the Internet.

One thing I’m good at is understanding and communicating how different aspects of technology can be put together to create what you’re looking for. Whether it’s website consulting or setting up a party with immersive video projections, this is the stuff I love doing most.
Thoughts on technology and the Internet
I see the advances in today’s technology in many shades. From a wider perspective, it’s not all good or bad.
Technology’s benefits or pitfalls depend solely on how we use and respond to it. Like any action in life, balance is key. Being obsessively tied to screens isn’t healthy and I think it starts to warp our perception of others and the world around us. But at the same time, there are so many creative, life-affirming, helpful things we can do with explosion of new technology surrounding us. I like to spend my time figuring out ways I can use technology to help and collaborate with others while expanding my own creative expression.
Not a computer repair service
While I might know how to fix some things, I don’t specialize in computer repair or troubleshooting. That’s best left to the experts. I’m happy to refer you to a local shop that will do a good job.
About the name
Twelve Oaks is named after the neighborhood I spent most of my childhood growing up in. This was magical time for me. It’s when I discovered and fell in love with computers, video, multimedia and creating “productions” of all kinds. Now I get to bring these passions back by working with you.
